1910   Draka was founded by Jan Teewis Duyvis, under the name: Hollandsche Draad & Kabel Fabriek (Dutch Wire & Cable Factory)
     
1970    Draka was acquired by Philips N.V. and became part of the division Wire & Cable
     
1986   Draka Holding N.V. became independent via a buy out financed by Parcom and Flint Beheer
