Early adoption

We are committed to the early adoption of environmentally beneficial improvements regarding the use of plastic materials, such as the use of halogen-free materials in buildings and cars.

The same goes for the shift towards less toxic plasticising agents and additives in PVC. For instance, Draka’s European companies have virtually completed the transition to lead-free PVC stabilisers, and Draka also introduced more environmentally friendly alternatives to heavy metals, such as lead, ahead of European regulations that has come into force in 2006.
