Standard setting

Improved sustainability depends on effective cooperation between all stakeholders. Draka’s approach is based on three pillars:

• Intensive collaboration with customers and suppliers;
• The creation of improved product and application standards and regulations;
• Collective initiatives in the cable industry.

We are a major contributor to the work of international standardisation committees such as Cenelec and IEC, and participate in the related national and sector bodies. We also play an active role in developments in the international cable manufacturer associations: we have long endorsed the Europacable environmental code of conduct, and we actively support the ecological and other sustainability initiatives of the International Cablemakers' Federation
