Draka’s data communication and multimedia cables are leading edge. We develop, produce and sell twisted-pair and optical fiber cables for data, studio, CATV and central-office switching applications.

The shared expertise in research and development guarantees superior quality products meeting customer’s current and future cable requirements, such as greater bandwidths, higher transmission speeds and integrated multimedia solutions.
Draka Cable Solutions EMEA was the first to have independently tested and verified Category 5 cables and occupies a leading position in the development of the new Gigahertz Category cables.

In addition to improving product performance, Draka is actively involved with standardisation bodies world wide to guarantee performance and compatibility with software and connectivity standards.

For each of our customer audiences we specify and design the required cable solutions to fit their specific needs. We can also specify and source the required connectivity products, handle the logistics, and manage the implementation and testing of their network. We develop cables / applications for five market segments. Each has particular network requirements:

Network Operators
Draka Cable Solutions EMEA offers a range of solutions and support for network operators, with a focus on the most up-to-date technologies and connectivity packages for triple-play services and IP multimedia systems.

Enterprises
Customers are multinational companies or small and medium-sized businesses, usually operating in the service sector. Ranging from banks and insurance companies to hotel chains and broadcasters, they need to move and access huge quantities of data, quickly, and demand the ultimate in security and reliability.

Industry
Typical industry customers include car and truck manufacturers, manufacturing and processing companies, and the petrochemicals industry. We therefore focus on process control, on the optimization of processes and on producing cables that are resistant to fire, wind, chemicals etc.
