Draka Energy & Infrastrucure | Europe develops, manufactures and markets low-voltage and medium-voltage cables. Energy & Infrastrucure | Europe is a “glocal” division within Draka with very focused factories, driven by highly skilled, customer-oriented local sales forces that offer an extensive range of high-quality products and world-class customer service to industry, installers and infrastructure.

The product range extends from installation cable and PVC flexibles to power-, instrumentation- and control cables. Cables are produced at thirteen factories around Europe, and sold through local Draka dedicated sales companies. The company employs around 2,000 people in total.

Energy & Infrastrucure | Europe has cutting-edge expertise in the development of materials, products, production technology and logistics. The Draka product portfolio covers all customer requirements, including environmental demands and ease of use. This has led to an outstanding selection of customer-specific products and has established Draka’s reputation as a specialist in challenging solutions.

Halogen-free and low smoke emission (OHLS) cables are one example, and cables with high fire resistance are another. Firetuf^® and Firex-Protech^® are two brand names that Draka sells in this fast-growing market. Another growth market is the chemical and petrochemical sector, in which power, instrumentation and control cables are the leading products. Often, existing standards do not cover all the requirements that arise during the course of a project. Draka has therefore been developing customer-specific cables in this sector for many years.

Energy & Infrastrucure | Europe offers a wide range that covers all electrical specifications, temperature ranges, safety requirements and environmental demands. All our products are designed to meet the strictest demands of quality and performance, with the ultimate aim of reducing installation costs.

Products from Energy & Infrastrucure | Europe are distributed mainly through wholesalers such as Hagemeyer, Onninen, Rexel and Sonepar, with whom we collaborate closely on logistical solutions, training and providing information to wholesalers’ sales organizations and their end customers.

With combined strengths in R&D, logistics and know-how, Draka companies in the UK, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Spain and France are ready to meet all requirements and expectations.
